At 9 years she started her affair with track and field, qualifying for the ARCO Jesse Owens National in San Diego, CA in her first year of track and field. She went on to win several USATF titles in the 100m.

 

At Dunbar High School, she was a 3 time state qualifier and in 1990 a State Champion. She went on to graduate from Dunbar and to letter in her first year at Baylor University and transferred to TCU where she was SWC 60m finalist.

 

She currently is a head coach and coordinator for Hallmark Track Club since 1995 and also is an USATF Certified Official.
